Marirose Piciucco, J.D.
Marirose Piciucco is Chief Counsel of Catholic Charities and the Center for Immigration & Legal Support Services. A graduate of Hastings College of the Law, Marirose’s legal practice has spanned more than 20 years, first in complex civil litigation and later in immigration law as a partner focusing on deportation defense and asylum law. Marirose took a 10-year hiatus from the practice of law when she co-founded a first-to-market Paleo baking company and founded The Ring Project, a nonprofit organization that converts donated engagement rings after divorce into scholarships to law school and medical school for women in the war-torn region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2019, Marirose returned to the practice of immigration law to use her deep expertise during a chaotic time for immigrants.
