Francisco joined Catholic Charities in 1998 as its Legal Immigration Services Manager. He is a Cuban attorney who, before coming to the U.S., experienced the hardship of living in an undocumented status in Sweden for a year. His solid legal background granted him full accreditation by the Board of Immigration Appeals in 2000. Since then he has helped a countless number of low-income immigrants in the Bay Area obtain immigration status through his work with USCIS, Immigration Court, and the BIA. Francisco not only provides direct legal services, but also in offering training and workshops on difficult topics such as dealing with suspensions of deportation, asylum, and applying for waivers so families can remain united.
