Need COVID-19 Financial Assistance? We're here to help.
COVID-19 has presented our community with many, many challenges such as job loss, financial insecurity, and isolation. We are here to help San Franciscans who qualify ease their financial burden through immediate financial assistance to help pay rent or mortgages and/or meet other basic needs such as paying utility bills, buying groceries, and childcare costs.
If your household meets the three following criteria, you are eligible to receive financial assistance of up to $2,500 per month:*
- You must be a resident of San Francisco County;
- Your household income must be less than 80% of the average median income (see table below); and
- You must have a documented loss of income related to COVID-19 impacts due to health, employment, or school/child care closures.
*There is a maximum benefit of $5,000 for the duration of the public health emergency and as long as the household continues to experience an economic impact and funds are available.
Please note that you will need to submit basic documentation to verify eligibility, including ID, income verification, and documentation of the COVID-19 related loss of income.
Through our partnership with Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), we are distributing the funds collected through their SVCF COVID-19 Regional Response Fund to qualifying San Franciscans struggling to make ends meet as a result of COVID-19. The funds are being distributed through our existing Catholic Charities Assisted Housing & Health Program.
