Edith Witt Community

Edith Witt Senior Community

Edith Witt Senior Community consists of 107 affordable apartments for low-income seniors built by Mercy Housing. Of the 107 housing units, 27 are a partnership program with the Department of Public Health’s Direct Access to Housing program. In addition, we are in partnership with the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and CIIS for onsite acupuncture, wellness coaching, and pain management—every Tuesday and Friday.

A multitude of onsite, community-based, and integrated services are offered to residents. These services assist seniors in obtaining and maintaining residential, financial and psychosocial stability. Onsite intensive case management includes:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Linkage to mainstream benefits
  • Community activities
  • Food pantry
  • Rent payment and financial support
  • Coordination of outside services needed for seniors to age in place

The Edith Witt Senior Community, in conjunction with our youth and family support services at 10th & Mission Streets, is an intergenerational community in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood.
