What We Do
Catholic Charities is one of the largest, most-comprehensive human services agencies in Northern California, serving more than 32,000 people a year through more than 30 diverse programs in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties. As an integral part of our communities, we play a pivotal role in keeping our neighborhoods diverse, productive, safe, and healthy.
Catholic Charities creates lasting, data-driven solutions to some of the most pressing human challenges in our community - homelessness, aging in isolation, generational poverty, HIV/AIDS, inequality, and immigration to name a few. Tough issues we face with determination, tenacity, and collaborative problem-solving with those we serve. We thrive on making positive change for individuals and families - especially those most vulnerable.
Our dedicated staff, collaborative community partners, volunteers, and committed Board of Directors, work to increase and evolve our impact to meet the needs of our community. Our clients represent all of us: individuals, families, children, youth, adults, and seniors. We welcome everyone with compassion understanding and respect. Our results change lives.
Our success is measured in the number of people we help with the quality of programs and services we provide. These programs are fueled by our dedicated staff, caring volunteers and generous donors like you.
