Futbol con Corazón 2019
Catholic Charities of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin, one of the Bay Area’s largest human services agencies, hosted our Fourth Annual Futbol con Corazón soccer tournament, on June 22, 2019. Sixteen teams comprised of unaccompanied minors and supportive companies and community members competed for the championship at this exciting and hopeful community and fundraising event. The event raised over $40,000 for Catholic Charities programs supporting unaccompanied minors and immigrants in our community.
Over 100 community supporters played on teams with over 50 unaccompanied minors. Volunteers from Google, Sacred Heart Preparatory, and HandsOn Bay Area helped make the fourth annual event a success. St. Anthony’s of Padua provided transportation help and breakfast food, and Hobee’s Restaurant donated coffee cake.
