Bayview Access Point One Year Anniversary and Black History Month Celebration

Bayview Access Point One Year Anniversary and Black History Month Celebration

February 26, 2019

The rain couldn't dampen our spirits on Tuesday for an uplifting celebration of the First Anniversary of Catholic Charities Bayview Access Point! The challenging and rewarding work our staff does daily to prevent homelessness in our communities is pivotal to the health and wellbeing of our neighborhoods. We are grateful to the San Francisco Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing for their invaluable partnership.

We were inspired by our illustrious speakers the Honorable Mayor London Breed, mayor of San Francisco, Reverend Dr. Amos C. Brown, civil rights activist and legend, and Danny Glover, actor, activist, and former Bayview resident, who recognized the strength and resilience of the Bayview community. In honoring Black History Month, our speakers challenged all of us to treat one another with respect, compassion, dignity, and equality.
