Our doors at the OMI Senior Center are open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The OMI Senior Center currently provides services to older adults (60+) and adults with disabilities (18+). Face masks are optional in the center.

Our lunches are provided to us by 30 th St. Senior Center (ON LOK). We offer daily lunches to-go between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We serve daily lunches in-person between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. Our daily lunch menu is available at the reception desk so feel free to take a copy when you arrive to the center.

The suggested voluntary contribution is $2.00 for older adults (must be at least 60 years of old and registered) There is a $6.00 charge for guests, caregivers or adults with disabilities

Computer Lab (Sponsored by SF Connected) Monday- Friday

The computer lab is open from 9- 2 p.m.
Come and enjoy the computer lab equipped with high speed internet access.

Mahjong (Monday – Friday) Time Varies

Our players range from beginner level to advanced so it is open for anyone to play or learn.

Always Active Program Sponsored by ON LOK (Mondays & Wednesdays at 10: 30 a.m.- 11:30 am) -Hybrid Program

Our classes focus on mobility, muscle strengthening, balance, and flexibility specifically designed for Older Adults and adults with disabilities.

Sunny Line Dance Group (Mondays at 12:45- 2:45 p.m.)

Every Monday we have a line dance group practice and dance. They are known as the Sunny Line Dance group. This group dances to a wide variety of music and has performances every once in a while.

Karaoke Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (9:00- 10:30 a.m.)

We sing a wide variety of songs and participants can choose whatever music they like!

Virtual Computer Class for Beginners (Tuesdays at 10 – 11:30 a.m.)

Looking for beginner computer lessons? Look no further! You will start at a basic level for beginners and move to intermediate or advanced level.

Creative Arts Program (Tuesdays and Fridays at 12- 2:30 p.m.)

Students have the opportunity to engage in many different art forms including sewing, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, tie-dye, jewelry making, coloring, and much more!

Gentle Seated Yoga Class - Hybrid Program

The therapeutic Senior Yoga and Mindful Relaxation Class is meticulously curated for participants to enhance flexibility, balance, and joint mobility through adaptive yoga postures. Elevating well-being with diaphragmatic breathing techniques and guided meditation, fostering emotional resilience and cognitive clarity.

One- on- One Computer Tutoring Class

Virtual Computer Class for Advanced & Intermediate (Wednesdays 10 – 11:30 a.m.)

If you are proficient in basic computer skills, please enroll in the advanced and immediate online computer class.

Tai Chi (Yang Style) (Thursdays at 1:1:40 p.m. and 1:45- 2:40 p.m.)

Tai Chi is especially usual for improving balance and reduce falls. The class begins with a 40-minute beginner session and continues on with a 45-minute advanced session. Anyone of any skill level can join both.

Food Pantry Distribution – Sponsored by San Francisco Marin Food Bank.

We serve older adults and adults with disabilities.
This food program that distributes fresh produce, protein, and shelf-stable items for those in need. OMI Senior Center food pantry takes place on Thursday from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. Zip codes served: 94112, 94127 and 94132

Exercise Class (Fridays at 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.) Hybrid Program

On Friday mornings we have exercise class. In this class we do a variety of movements including a warm-up, leading into some aerobic exercise, and later into some weights and resistance band training followed by a cool down. All movements can be modified and taken at one’s own pace.

OMI Senior Center Choir (Fridays at 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.)

We believe anyone can learn to sing! Our choir members have lots of fun rehearing and performing music that they like!

A few times a month we offer Zumba & Zumba Gold and Yoga. This is mostly an aerobics class with some seated movements that allow for stretching and a cool down as well. All movements can be modified and taken at one’s own pace.

Additionally, OMI Senior Center offers, field trips, health and educational workshops, monthly blood pressure screenings, monthly birthday celebrations and multicultural celebrations.

Meet Tek

Tek is one of our regular clients at the center who comes every single day. She participates in every activity we offer here but she especially loves karaoke, exercise class, and Mahjong. She loves playing Mahjong so much, she arrives when our doors open every morning eager for her Mahjong group of friends to also arrive. She says that she loves our center so much because everyone is very kind and it feels like a family here. Tek has been a client for over 10 years!
